Innerpeffray Library was the first free lending library in Scotland, est. 1680. Collection housed

in purpose-built building of 1762. The lending function ceased in 1968. It is now maintained as

a heritage asset, open to tourists and local residents Friends of Innerpeffray Library founded

1993 is an active support group and welcomes new members
